About Us

At The Embodiment Lab, our people are a diverse and dedicated group of professionals who embody our core values through their unique experiences and training. Our people include regulated healthcare providers, such as Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists, as well as non-regulated healthcare providers, embodiment coaches, yoga teachers, and educators. Many of our team members wear multiple hats, bringing a rich variety of skills to their roles.

  • My name is Julie Glanfield Smith and I am a Registered Yoga Teacher 200 with Yoga Alliance. I am passionate about sharing my love of Hatha Yoga and encouraging each person to find their own unique expression within the traditional forms. By focusing on breath, alignment, and the natural flow of energy in the body, I guide students to turn their gaze inward and honor what feels right for them in each moment. I strive to keep an open mind and heart, both on and off the mat, creating a space rooted in compassion and free of judgment.

With a deep enthusiasm for music, resonance, and cultivating good vibes, I also love offering relaxing, immersive sound baths and leading others in the joyful practice of singing Kirtan.

    A little more about me:

    • I have been practicing yoga since the 1990s and continue to grow in my personal practice.

    • As a musician, I enjoy playing guitar and Tibetan singing bowls, weaving sound into my yoga offerings.

    • I'm currently on a journey to learn the harmonium and deepen my connection to Kirtan and mantra practice.

I look forward to sharing this path with you, both through movement and the healing power of sound.
